The Energy Star 7.0 specifications for windows are designed to promote energy-efficient products that can help consumers save money on their energy bills and reduce their environmental impact. The specifications include significantly updated requirements for U-factor and Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC).

Tax Credits

Starting January 1st, 2023, the new 25C tax credit will be in effect for 10 years, ending December 31st, 2032.

To receive tax credits, windows and patio doors have to meet ENERGY STAR Most Efficient criteria.

2024 Most Efficient Criteria
